Francesca February 11th, 2022

Janet was a force of nature, and I feel privileged to have had her as a role model, mentor, and friend during my time as CSCT student and alumnus. She helped me become a considerably better scientist. Her advice on taking a job in NZ ("remember, they say sex instead of six, and fush and chups instead of fish and chips") and how to keep my vegetable patch going strong will not be forgotten. I still live by the Janet Scott rule of conference drinking: "Drink as much as you want at the conference dinner, but BE THERE for the start of the morning session!" I know she will be sorely missed in the CSCT and wider community. The impact that she had was vast. Helena Quilter (CSCT Alumna, cohort '13)
