Thoughts
Janet was loved by so many around the world. I fondly remember long chats over a glass of wine at conference banquets. She was generous and kind, fiercely intelligent and forthright. I will miss her greatly as a source of advice and support. My condolences to all her friends, students and others who miss her.

Janet was such a brave, strong, wise, and supportive presence in the lives of those who knew her. Anita and I spent numerous evenings with her, both at her place and ours; each of which was a joy, filled with animated discussion, declarations of firmly held views, numerous anecdotes, wisecracks and much, much laughter. Sometimes we argued heatedly, but always with warmth and mutual respect. She left a mark in our lives, was loved deeply by us and will be sorely missed.

We will dearly miss you my dearest Janet! So much fun together all over the world (Brazil, Uk, Italy, France… among many other countries!) and great scientific and personal discussions. Take good care of yourself my dear, forever in our hearts!
