I am only one of many whom Janet inspired as a mentor and with whom she shared brilliant, bullshit-free advice. She was so kind as to provide a reference letter in September 2021 and even followed up to check the application was all ok. I did not know how bad her condition was then and can't believe her generosity even under some of most difficult circumstances imaginable. I will am extremely grateful to Janet and will always remember her example. We are lucky to have known her.
